Villa Vastu is suitably distanced from the main road down a residential laneway in the quiet district of Batu Belig. It is an area blessed with productive rice fields and the nearest beach is just a casual 10 minute stroll away. Guests will appreciate the laid-back way of life that this sleepy neighbourhood has to offer.
Batu Belig is just a 10 minute drive from the wining, dining and shopping outlets of Seminyak. A brief taxi ride will have guests enjoying afternoon tea at Biku or sipping sunset cocktails at the ultra sophisticated KuDeTa in no time at all. Villa Vastu is only 25 minutes from the airport and approximately the same distance from the tourist crowds of Kuta.
There are three air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suites in this beautiful Joglo building. One bedroom sits behind the stone-carved wall in the living room and the other two, at either end of the Joglo.
The bedrooms are all large with king sized beds and are the same in design. The owner has cleverly used a concrete base for the mattress to rest upon and this contrasts well with the white bed linen and grey floor tiles in the room.
White washed wooden bedside tables with matching lamps featuring a wooden stick design face a white washed desk, chair and sofa adding to the space in the room.
The bathroom uses wooden cabinetry extensively with a wooden make up desk and mirror in one corner, and a grey stone-carved basin sits within a wood vanity unit. A large outdoor shower is situated in a tropical garden allowing you to feel the cool breeze upon your body and the indoor/outdoor toilet is close by. Awell proportioned wardrobe with sliding doors, for an array of clothes, is an added benefit if undertaking a lot of shopping. In one bedroom only, a grey stone carved bath is available for guests to use.
Beside the Joglo where the bedrooms and living room are accommodated, is a separate wooden built room that acts as a storeroom.
The living area is open planned and oversees the pool area and kitchen. Two wooden benches with mattresses and cushions make this a comfortable space to sit and watch TV or DVDs and enjoy the surrounding views.
A tiled wall with a stone carving divides the space between the bedroom and living space, acting as a corridor to move back and forth.
Opposite the benches is the wall mounted TV, a wooden console with DVD and speakers beside, for a quality sound experience. An unusual tree type lamp sits beside the TV area and on the floor two large cushions add color to the room. A wooden console with a series of small to large vases equidistantly spaced sits behind the benches, adding a decorative element to the room.
Dining Room, Kitchen and Powder Room
The dining room, kitchen and a powder room sit within a separate beautifully designed Javanese Joglo building.
The owner has kept the design simple, with clean lines. Situated beside the kitchen area, the dining space has eight, white upholstered chairs with wooden frame surrounding a beautiful solid wooden table. Above the table is a long, rectangular light fitting with an interesting design, comprising of sticks on the top. This adds texture and a different woodencolor to the room. A single, clear glass vase sits upon the table and behind, two large vases are perched on the floor. To the right in the corner for convenience, is the powder room and to the left the kitchen.
The kitchen is a large space with ample wooden cabinets. It has all the modern conveniences needed for guests. Overlooking the pool area, the kitchen has a wall oven, double sink, large fridge and hotplates as well as crockery and cutlery to meet all needs.
The same lighting design from the dining room has been incorporated in the kitchen over the front cabinet/bar. An unusually designed wooden bar, it is the perfect place to sit on one of the four wooden bar stools and chat while the chef within cooks up a storm.
A wooden deck and tropical garden surround the large, inviting pool. A Bale at one end of the pool overseas the whole area and one will enjoy this space to sit and relax in meditation, reading or just to enjoying the view.
Sunlounges at the opposite side to the Bale provide plenty of sunny opportunities to sunbathe.
Villa Vastu provides its guests with luxury accommodation and a holiday to remember long after you have returned home. Suitable for family or friends, you will have both privacy and security when staying at this beautiful villa.
